The IHFRA Certified Home-furnishings Representative (CHR) program once set the standard for what it meant to be a true professional in our industry. It represented commitment, credibility, and a higher level of excellence. Now, we’re reviving it — but with a fresh perspective for today’s industry. Before we rebuild the program, we’re starting with a simple but powerful question: What should a “certified” rep look like in 2026? To answer that, we’re forming a CHR Steering Committee made up of industry professionals who want to help shape the future of this designation — defining the skills, qualities, and standards that will matter most moving forward.
